Togo and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on the creation of the "African Center for Coordination and Research in Cybersecurity", Cina Lawson, Togolese Minister of Digital Economy announced on Tuesday.
In a report published on October 7, Amnesty International's computer security researchers say they identified two spyware sent to a human rights activist in Togo.
Togo has therefore joined a global network of countries with national CERTs dedicated to the collective cyber defense effort, through the monitoring of local cyberspace and the permanent management of cybersecurity incidents.
