La Déclaration de Lomé fait la part belle aux putschistes. Ainsi, les activistes et panafricains populistes qui soutiennent les coups d'État militaires doivent-ils remercier le pouvoir togolais.
We, participants and stakeholders, gathered on the occasion of the first edition of the Lomé Peace and Security Forum, held on21 and22 October 2023 in Lomé, Republic of Togo, on the theme "How to strengthen political transitions towards democratic governance in Africa?"; Guided by the principles and ideals of democracy and the_rylevant uN Resolutions, in particular General Assembly Resolutions A/RES/55/96 of 4 December 2000 and A/RES/62/7 of 13 December 2007 and Human Rights Council Resolutions, in particular Resolutions A/HRC/RES/19/36 of 23 March 2012 and A/HRC/RES/34/41 0f 24 March 2017; Considering the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 16 December 1966 and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women adopted on 18 December 1979; Considering the United Nations Secretary-General's Guidance Note on Democracy of 08 September 2009 and the April 2008 Guidance Note on Strengthening the Rule of Law;
Le Forum sur la paix et la sécurité vient de s'achever dimanche le 22 octobre 2023 à Lomé. Certains activistes togolais qui luttent pour une stabilité durable sur le continent ont décidé de le censurer. En même temps, ils sont en train de faire un compte-rendu de la rencontre. Pourquoi cette démarche est-elle un paradoxe, une contradiction ?
Le gouvernement togolais lance l’initiative Lome Peace and Security Forum (LPSF) dont la première édition se tient du 20 au 22 octobre 2023. Thème retenu : « Comment renforcer les transitions politiques vers une gouvernance démocratique en Afrique ? ».
