Togo-Covid-19: Free secondary school announced for next year

The coming 2021-2022 school year will be less costly for the parents of Togolese students since the government will cover all costs for public secondary schools.

In view of the Covid-19 health crisis, the Togolese government announced in a press release, free tuition fees for public middle school and high school.


In the same spirit of solidarity, the executive has decreed to take charge for the month of August 2021, the social portion of water and electricity bills.

Namely that this social bracket translates a consumption between 0 and 10 m3. A measure that was already adopted in April and August of last year, at a cost of 10 billion dollars, thousands of Togolese had benefited from it.

Also, at the start of the epidemic, Togo set up, for an amount which cost it no less than 13 billion dollars, the Novissi program aimed at providing the most vulnerable people and families with monthly financial support, throughout state of emergency.
