Five-time Olympic Games world champion Agbégnénou announces break in Judo

The French athlete of Togolese origin Clarisse Agbégnénou announced on Monday, February 7, 2022, a break in her judoka career for a positive reason. Clarisse is pregnant !

“I am officially announcing that I will not resume immediately because I am pregnant. This is something I was looking forward to as a woman!! So I’m taking a break from my judoka career, ”said the five-time world champion.

However, as “Athlete of the Year 2021” in France, the Clarisse specifies that this state will not deprive her of taking part in the great event that her native country will host in two years, the Paris Olympic Games 2024.

At 29, Clarisse Agbégnénou has the best record of French women’s judo with 5 world champion titles and 5 European coronations.
