The Minister of Foreign Affairs for Regional Integration and Togolese Abroad Prof. Robert Dussey announced on Saturday, with a lot of hope, the forthcoming Lomé Conference on Political Transitions and the Fight against Terrorism in the Sahel and West Africa.
“This agora, I am sure, will provide innovative solutions to the multiple and current challenges related to the ever-growing context in the region,” said Robert Dussey.
According to the head of the Togolese diplomacy, this meeting will allow, among other things, a sharing of thoughts and experiences on:
– The evolution of security dynamics in West Africa, the Sahel and the continent.
– The intertwining of the political challenges of governance and those of security in the context of the fight against terrorism
– Better effective, efficient and coordinated action to protect the State and civilian populations from acts of violence and terrorism.
As a reminder, the event will be held in Togo’s Capital, Lomé, on April 21, 2022.
