Togo at its 1st official meeting with Commonwealth Nations

Exactly one month after its accession, Togo is participating in its first official meeting within the Commonwealth Nations, announced the Togolese Minister of Sports and Recreation, Lidi Bessi Kama, on Wednesday.

The Minister has been participating since Tuesday, July 26, 2022, in Birmingham, England, in the tenth conference of Commonwealth Nations sports ministers.

The meeting is the very first since the transition to 56 members with the entry of Togo and Gabon.

Focused on the theme of creating an inclusive and resilient sports sector, the summit will be an opportunity to discuss the contribution of sports practice to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a focus on equality issues. and human rights. All this in the context of post-pandemic reconstruction.

For Togo, it will also be an opportunity to establish contacts, and to consider partnership possibilities.
