The Republic of Rwanda has appointed a new High Commissioner to the Republic of Togo. On Monday, November 18, in Lomé, the Togolese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Robert Dussey, officially received the credentials of the newly appointed diplomat, Rosemary Mbabazi.
Based in Ghana, Mbabazi is responsible for Rwanda’s diplomatic relations not only with Togo but also with four other countries in the West African sub-region: Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. She brings significant experience in Rwanda’s diplomatic service to her new role.
Following the presentation of her credentials, Mbabazi and Minister Dussey engaged in discussions on “areas of mutual interest”, aiming to strengthen both bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Rwanda and Togo.
According to the Togolese government, Togo and Rwanda have enjoyed strong diplomatic ties for many years, underscored by frequent consultations between their respective leaders.
