The Togolese state officially launched its first national Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) and its website Cert.tg on Wednesday February 3, 2021.
Togo has therefore joined a global network of countries with national CERTs dedicated to the collective cyber defense effort, through the monitoring of local cyberspace and the permanent management of cybersecurity incidents.
The role of CERT.tg is “to identify, analyze and mitigate cyber threats affecting the Togolese State, citizens, companies and organizations”.
The entity which is a component of the national cyber security arsenal, is operated by Cyber Defense Africa S.A.S. (CDA) as a service delegated by the National Cybersecurity Agency (ANCy).
