Togolese President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé took part in the Global Education Summit in London on Thursday, July 29 , 2021. A meeting between him and Prime Minister Johnson Boris has also been announced.
This meeting, initiated by the Global partnership for education (GPE), records the presence of several Heads of State and Government, multilateral partners as well as members of civil society organizations and the private sector.
During the summit, the stakeholders took stock of the progress made in the education sector, which has been strongly impacted for almost two years by the health crisis, and mobilized the essential funds for quality education.
Faure Gnassingbé shared with his counterparts and other participants Togo’s experience in promoting early childhood education, with the efforts made to achieve the preschool coverage especially in grassroots communities.
The Togolese President’s stay in London will also be an opportunity to meet many personalities and partners. A meeting is thus scheduled with the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.
