The three members of the Togo Teachers’ Union (SET) arrested last Saturday, were sent to prison on Monday April 11, 2022, for incitement to revolt.
Members of the Togolese Teachers’ Union (SET), Joseph Toyou, Kossikan Kossi and Ditorga Sambara Bayamina were transferred on Monday to the civil prison of Lomé, after their hearing the same day by the second deputy prosecutor, then the dean of the judges.
According to the information, the three members of the SET are accused of “inciting students and other people to revolt by promises, threats, orders or any signs of rallying”.
On Saturday April 9, 2022, the security forces arrested the three SET officials in Lomé. They were then kept in the premises of the Central Criminal Research and Investigations Service (SCRIC) of the National Gendarmerie.
