Togo welcomes a new UNDP Resident Representative

A few months after the departure of Aliou Dia, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) sends a new Resident Representative to Togo. Binta Sanney has officially taken office on Monday, May 2, 2023.

The new UNDP boss in Togo, took office this week after a meeting in Lomé on Monday with members of the country team.

Before arriving in Togo, Binta Sanney, who had worked for the UN organization for nearly 15 years, worked in Guinea Bissau, Burundi and more recently in Chad.

Over the past four years, UNDP’s contribution to the country’s development efforts has grown. It supports the country in many sectors such as education, energy, social inclusion, youth employment, gender equality, and community development.

The partnership between Togo and the UN agency has also developed in terms of electoral assistance and environmental management.
