Togo to begin administering the Pfizer vaccine on July 07

The Togolese Government has decided to proceed with the administration of the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine in Grand Lomé, as of Wednesday July 07, 2021.

To this end, people aged 50 and over will first be targeted in Grand Lomé, from July 07 to 14, 2021.
From July 15 to 22, 2021, the operation will be extended to people aged 20 and over.

“The Government invites all those concerned in Grand Lomé to go to the nearest health center to receive their first doses of Pfizer vaccine. The people concerned must bring their identity document and the confirmation number obtained during online registration, ”said the government in a press release dated July 3, 2021.

Anyone wishing to be vaccinated must be enrolled by dialing * 844 # or by going to the site http://vaccin.covid19.gouv.tg to register.

As a reminder, Togo officially launched on March 10, 2021 the vaccination campaign against COVID-19 with the Astrazeneca vaccine in all regions of Togo.

The country continued the campaign with the administration of the Chinese vaccine, Sinovac in public universities before obtaining a total of 150,930 doses of Pfizer via the Covax initiative on June 1.
