Jean-Paul Edoh Oumolou, member of Dynamique Mgr Kpodzro (DMK), one of the collaborators of Agbéyomé Kodjo, a candidate in the last presidential election in Togo was arrested on Thursday, we learn.
Jean-Paul Edoh Oumolou is a young activist of the Togolese Diaspora, spokesperson for the Togolese Community in Switzerland (CTS) and former president of the Student Council of the University of Lomé from 2003 to 2005.
The man on vacation in Lomé was arrested on Thursday morning in the Hédzranawé district by heavily armed and hooded men in 3 4/4 cars to an unknown destination, sources report.
As a reminder, Mr. Jean-Paul Edoh Oumolou is an activist of the DMK, an association which supported the candidacy of former Prime Minister Agbéyomé Kodjo in the presidential election of February 2020.
The activist is one of the ambassadors of the government of Dr Agbéyomé Kodjo, after he declared himself the winner of the election, citing yet another electoral fraud against Faure Gnassingbé.
Note that Oumolou had been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Switzerland and to the United Nations Organization (UN) by Agbéyomé, who had occupied the second position in the election, according to the electoral commission.
