However, given the pandemic, several health conditions are set. Among other things, the need to be vaccinated and to have a vaccination pass and especially to be under the age of 65.
In addition, the cost of the Hajj which was 2,250,000 FCFA (in 2019) has now risen to 3,090,000 FCFA.
“But the Head of State has undertaken to grant a grant of nearly 100 million FCFA” for the Muslim community, explained the president of the national committee.
As a reminder, the Hajj, the fifth pillar of the Islamic religion, is the pilgrimage that Muslims make to the holy places of the city of Mecca, in Saudi Arabia. This year, it is scheduled from July 07 to 12 (dates subject to change).
