Lomé, the Togolese capital will host from July 3, 2023, the first edition of Forum Infra for Africa and the General Assembly of shareholders of Africa50, the government announced on Friday.
The meeting, which will be held under the theme “Bankable, scalable, reproducible”, is scheduled for two days.
This first edition will be dedicated to infrastructure investment in Africa.
The event, which will bring together leaders and decision-makers from different sectors, will reflect on possible solutions that can contribute to the acceleration of infrastructure financing on the continent.
An investment platform, Africa50 was set up by African governments in partnership with the African Development Bank (AfDB).
The fund facilitates the implementation of infrastructure projects and the mobilization of capital on a global scale, in order to fill the infrastructure financing gap in Africa. It has a capital of 740 million dollars.
