The Université de Lomé (UL) and the Washington International Management Institute (WIMI) are on the verge of establishing a partnership. On August 20, 2024, discussions between Adama Kpodar, President of UL, and Bruno Mukendi, founder of WIMI, laid the groundwork for this collaboration.
This partnership will leverage the expertise and resources of both institutions. WIMI, known for professional training and advisory services, aims to utilize UL’s academic strengths in its training and technical assistance programs in Africa and the United States.
The agreement will specifically benefit UL’s administrative, technical, and academic staff, allowing them to participate in WIMI’s courses at reduced fees, enhancing their skills in governance, leadership, and management.
For UL, this partnership aligns with its 2025 vision to become a high-performing university dedicated to quality education and innovation, addressing key societal issues for sustainable development in Togo, Africa, and beyond.
WIMI, founded in 1995, focuses on capacity building in key areas to support structural, organizational, and socio-economic transformations in developing countries.
