Three years after initiating a framework for enhanced bilateral cooperation, Togo and Russia have expressed a commitment to further consolidate their partnership.
This intent was articulated last week during a working session in Sochi between Togolese Foreign Minister Robert Dussey and his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov.
Held alongside the inaugural ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum, the meeting allowed the two officials to explore various areas for collaboration, including expanding political dialogue, enhancing trade and economic ties, boosting investment, and broadening humanitarian exchanges.
The Russia-Africa Partnership Forum was established following the first Russia-Africa summit in 2019.
