Togo and Philippines, formally linked for several months through an official political framework, are now looking to strengthen their bilateral relations. Discussions to this effect took place earlier this week in Vienna between the foreign ministers of the two countries, Robert Dussey and Maria Theresa Lazaro.
The meeting, held on the sidelines of the signing of a new cooperation framework between Togo and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), focused on future opportunities for collaboration at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
Both sides expressed a shared commitment to consolidating political dialogue and exploring new areas of partnership, particularly in sectors of mutual interest.
The Philippines, a tropical Southeast Asian archipelago comprising more than 7,000 islands, has a diverse and evolving economy driven largely by agriculture and the service sector.
