Le parti Forces Démocratiques pour la République (FDR) trouve scandaleuse la condamnation des journalistes Ferdinand AYITE et Isidore KOUWONOU. Me Apévon et les siens fustigent de ce fait, “la sempiternelle instrumentalisation de la justice à des fins politiques”. Par communiqué en date du vendredi 17 mars 2023, les FDR convient les magistrats à cesser d’être des artisans impénitents de l’arbitraire.

Togo – Faure Gnassingbé appelé à garantir la sécurité des journalistes

Le mouvement Lumière pour un Développement dans la Paix (LDP) s’insurge contre les lourdes peines infligées à Ferdinand Ayité et Isidore Kouwonou, deux responsables du journal l’Alternative. Dans un communiqué rendu public vendredi, l’organisation exige l’abandon des poursuites contre les journalistes dans le dossier qui les oppose au ministère public et interpelle le chef de l’Etat togolais.

Amnesty International calls for a boycott of the arrest warrant against the convicted Togolese journalists

Amnesty International expressed this Friday its disagreement with the Togolese authorities following the sentencing of two journalists, Ferdinand Ayite and Isidore Kouwonou, to three years in prison with fines. The international non-governmental organization focused on human rights will therefore challenge the host countries of the media men forced into exile not to respect the arrest warrant issued against them
