Togo-ASKO club retains its title as champion

During the final of the championship of Togo, on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Kégué stadium, the Kozah Sports Association (ASKO), beat its rival from the same city, ASCK (Association sportive des Chauffeurs de la Kozah).

The title holders had to go through the penalty shootout, after the regulatory round which ended in a draw (1:1).

And yet, it was ASCK who opened the scoring in the 35th minute through Tchatakora Sémiou. Kara’s ASKO equalized in the 85th minute with a free kick from Tchakei Marouf.


The Togolese Football Federation (FTF) gave a check for five (5) million FCFA to the champion club for the 2020-2021 season, which will be representing Togo in continental competitions.

Exceptionally, due to Covid-19 measures, the final took place in the presence of an audience of 2,000 spectators, authorized by the federation with the agreement of the government.
