Togo-Championship 2021: FIFA President Gianni Infantino praises ASKO FC

FIFA President Gianni Infantino this week sent “warm congratulations” to ASKO FC as this club has been crowned champion of Togo for the 6th time and second time in a row.

According to the Togolese Football Federation (FTF), Gianni Infantino, praised the Kondonas of Kozah in a correspondence to the president of the FTF for the 6th title in their history.

“This title is, without a doubt, the result of hard work, passion and commitment, and everyone at the club can certainly be proud of this important achievement. I would be grateful if you would send my congratulations to all those involved, whom I encourage to continue to work with determination and motivation in the future ”, writes the FIFA President quoted by the Federation.


“On behalf of the international football community, I finally take this opportunity to thank you and your Federation for your contribution to the development and prosperity of football in Togo, in Africa and throughout the world”, he added.

As a reminder, ASKO de Kara retained its champion’s trophy by beating in the final on Sunday, June 27, 2021, the “Association des Chauffeurs de la Kozah” (ASCK) 4 goals to 3 on goal after a draw ( 1-1) at the end of regular time.
