Togo’s new coach Paulo Duarte arrived in Lomé

Togo’s new coach for the national football team, Paulo Duarte set foot on Togolese soil on Thursday, August 05, 2021. He gave his impressions just after getting off the plane at Gnassingbé Eyadéma international airport.

Appointed last May at the head of “Éperviers du Togo” to replace the French Claude Leroy, the Portuguese technician Paulo Duarte will officially take office in the coming days.

The former Burkina Faso and Gabon coach arrived in Lomé on Thursday with some of his technical staff. As soon as he got off the plane, he gave his impressions.

“I’m happy to be here in a country I know and where I know football is the king of sport. I thank the federation for the choice made on me and my staff. I wish everyone that Togo will get back on the road to victories very quickly. », Said the Portuguese technician for his first words.

Mr Duarte will therefore be tasked with restoring the image of Éperviers du Togo by qualifying them for the next World Cup and African Cup of Nations.
