Three years after setting up a High Council for its Diaspora (HCTE), Togo will proceed with its census. The ministry in charge of Togolese abroad will launch the activity on March 8th.
The operation, of which this is the very first edition, should make it possible to have exact data on the number of citizens residing outside the country.
This census, announced several months ago, is also part of a vast program which has made it possible to initiate, for the diaspora, an Agenda, a Counter, or even a framework dedicated to Lomé.
The objective of the government is the same, to offer better services to fellow citizens abroad, and to make them privileged actors in the development of the country.
