Covid-19-Updates to travelers from Togo to Turkey

The consular service of the Turkish Embassy in Lomé remains inoperative. Visas will still be issued to Togolese citizens by the Turkish Embassy in Cotonou, Benin, the Embassy recalled in a statement issued with some updates on new travel measures regarding Covid-19.

Togolese are therefore requested to continue to apply for a visa on the usual website (www.visa.gov.tr) and make an appointment online.

“Foreigners holding residence permits in Togo are requested to consult https://www.mfa.gov.tr/visa-information-for-foreigners.en.mfa to find out about the visa regime applied to their country” , the statement said.

As part of the relief measures taken against COVID-19, since March 3, 2022, all travelers fully vaccinated (in the case of the Johnson&Johnson vaccine one dose), for at least 14 days or recovered from Covid in the last six months old are exempted from PCR test and quarantine if they can produce a vaccination certificate or a certificate of cure that is less than 6 months old.

Otherwise, they must present a negative PCR test carried out 72 hours before arrival in Turkey or a negative antigen test less than 48 hours and complete the online form at https://register.health.gov.tr/ at most late 72 hours before the flight.

Kindly note that children under the age of 12 are exempt from the test requirement.
