Infra for Africa forum in full swing in Togo

The first ‘Infra For Africa’ forum coupled with the Africa50 General Assembly of Shareholders, kicked off on Monday, July 3, 2023 in Lomé, the capital of Togo.

The meeting was launched by the Togolese Head of State, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, in the presence of an audience of personalities and decision-makers including the President of African Development Bank invests, Dr. Ekiwumi Adesina.

During these two days, nearly a hundred participants will be discussing “concrete solutions to the continent’s infrastructure needs.”

“This year we wanted to make an event where we can demonstrate that the continent is not only a land of opportunities, but also a united Africa which is in control of its destiny, while forging international alliances for its prosperity”, said Alain Ebobissé, C.E.O of Africa50.

In his opening speech, the Togolese leader was delighted with the choice of his country’s capital to host this important meeting, and urged once again for frank and “profitable” collaboration between the public and private sector, in order to develop the continent.

The opening ceremony was also marked by the signing of an agreement between the government and Africa50 on asset recycling. Many other agreements will be signed throughout the event.
