The Togolese capital hosted from Thursday to Friday November 26, an international conference on Africa and the challenges of the new governance of sport.
The meeting was kicked off by Togo’s Sports Minister Lidi Gbessi Kama in the presence of the National Olympic Committee as well as political, academic and military officials.
The event initiated by the Togolese government has two objectives, in particular to reflect on the issues and challenges of sports management in Africa, then to formulate recommendations to the government, sports bodies and sports players.
The participants discussed on the adapted strategies of Governance and the Development of Sport, for an efficient improvement of the sector.
As a reminder, a few weeks ago, 08 African countries were in Lomé to discuss the problem of the development of sports in French-speaking countries.
